Pink Rose Study III was taken on a vintage Mamiya medium format film camera, which has captured all the fine detail in the petals of this rose, rendering it almost sculptural in appearance. Taking the photograph on medium format film also means it can be printed up to 50 inches in size. It is part of the black and white floral series Petalum, which won a Silver Grenfell Award at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Shades of Autumn Show in London.
